Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
MailsOnMine uses a small number of cookies to make the Service work, plus two optional third-party cookies described below (Google reCAPTCHA and Google Analytics). We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected via cookies. Google Analytics only ever runs after you actively accept it in the banner shown on your first visit — nothing is measured before that, and you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
1. Cookies on the marketing site (mailsonmine.com)
The marketing site itself sets no cookies of its own. The only thing it stores outside of the exception below is a short-lived, one-time signed link generated when you click "Log in" or "Get started" — that link is not a cookie and carries no personal data; it simply lets the portal confirm you arrived from this site rather than a stale or shared URL.
The one exception is our contact page, which loads Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to distinguish real visitors from spam and bot submissions before a message is sent. Visiting that page only (no other page on the marketing site) causes Google to set its own cookies and use device signals to compute a risk score; MailsOnMine never sees your reCAPTCHA cookies directly, only the resulting score. This is covered by Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Every page on this marketing site also offers Google Analytics, to help us understand how many people visit and which pages they read — but only if you say yes. On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline; nothing is loaded, no cookie is set, and no data reaches Google until you click "Accept". If you decline, the banner won't ask again, and no analytics runs for you at all. Either way, you can change your mind later from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
2. Cookies on the portal (portal.mailsonmine.com)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
laravel_session |
Keeps you signed in between requests. Strictly necessary — the Service cannot function without it. | 2 hours, or until logout |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary. | 2 hours |
mom_launch_verified |
Remembers that you arrived via the marketing site's launch link, so you don't need to click through it again on every visit. Strictly necessary for the portal's access flow. | Up to 14 days |
Google Analytics (_ga, etc.) |
Optional. Shown only on sign-in, registration, password-reset, and similar pages you see before you're logged in — never once you're inside your inbox — and only after you accept the consent banner there. We use it to see how many people reach and complete sign-up; Google's own cookies, not MailsOnMine's. | Up to 2 years (set by Google; see their policy below) |
The three cookies above the table are essential to the Service functioning — signing in isn't possible without them, so there's nothing to opt out of there. Google Analytics is the one exception: it's off by default and only starts if you accept it on a sign-in/registration page, exactly like on the marketing site above. None of these cookies are used for advertising, and none are sold or shared with third parties beyond Google acting as our analytics processor.
3. Local storage
The portal stores a small, non-sensitive preference (your chosen light/dark theme) in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and is not a cookie.
4. Managing cookies
For Google Analytics on this marketing site, use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to accept, decline, or change your earlier choice at any time. On the portal's sign-in/registration pages, your choice is remembered the same way but there's no separate settings link — clear your browser's stored site data for portal.mailsonmine.com to be asked again. For every other cookie, you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but doing so for the strictly-necessary cookies above will prevent you from staying signed in to the portal.
